This year marks the 17th running of one of the most scenic trail events in the state. Join over 2,400 participants to run and walk the inside trails of Mackinac Island during the last open weekend of the season.
Come enjoy special race features - commemorative medals, a race shirt in Great Turtle fashion, special Halloween events for adults and kids, great end-of-season sales - plus the beauty of late fall on the Island. This is an event you won't want to miss! Course

Half Marathon
The Half Marathon will start in front of Mission Point Resort . The beginning of the course follows the shoreline featuring breathtaking views of the lake, neighboring islands and the historic Arch Rock formation. You will then veer off the shoreline and wind through the beautiful island interior on bike trails and roads. The roads are mostly paved with some gravel. The last segment of the race returns to the shoreline, with the finish line located in front of the resort.

5.7 Mile Run & Walk
The 5.7 Mile will start in front of Mission Court, located next to Mission Point Resort . The first half of the course winds through the beautiful island interior on bike trails and roads. The roads are mostly paved with some gravel. The last half of the race brings you out to the shoreline, with the same breathtaking views of the Half Marathon. The finish line will also be the same as the Half Marathon, located in front of the resort.

Note: Absolutely no roller blades, pets, wagons or other wheeled vehicles will be allowed on the course. Baby joggers are strongly discouraged due to safety concerns. Please be considerate of other people along the course. Share the road by staying on the innermost recreation lane. Amenities & Awards
This year we are offering tremendous apparel in Great Turtle fashion to the first 2,400 registered participants. Register early to get the size that you want. Sorry, but we cannot guarantee apparel on race day to late entrants.
There will be commemorative medals and post-race refreshments for all finishers.
Awards: Awards for all three events will be given to the Overall winners, the Masters Male and Female winners, and the first three finishers in each age division.
Age Divisions - Half Marathon and 5.7 Mile Run:
Men & Women: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50- 54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Over.

The Mackinac Island State Park Commission has assessed a $5.00 Park Usage Fee per person, and is included in the race entry fee.

Number Pick-Up/Late-Registration
Entrants are required to pick up their numbers, scoring chips, and race souvenirs at Mission Point Resort on:
- Friday, October 26, 5:00 - 7:00 PM
- Saturday, October 27, 9:30 - 11:15 AM
Late Registration is also available during these times.
We recommend you catch a ferry from Mackinaw City or St. Ignace no later than 10:00 AM on race day. Race Scoring
The race is timed using the new ChronoTrack ® B-Tag attached to your bib. You must complete the race with your bib in full view or your time will not be recorded. Note that the new chips DO NOT have to returned at the end of the race.

All ferry lines will offer discounts on Saturday morning through the 8:00 AM boat. Please call individual ferry lines for departure times.
